Living Waters

I had such a great time making this EP! I combined my love of smooth jazz, acoustic guitars, singing and of course my flute playing. The songs feature flute melodies with limited vocals. The style is easy listening. "Living Waters" was enjoyable to record. It shares flute and flamingo style guitar leads with layered guitars and harmony vocals. "Live Green" is a lively track, with a more aggressive flute lead and layered background vocals. "Feel This, Be Alive" is laid-back track, which makes you think of laying on beach and watching waves, or maybe looking up a dark, starry sky. "Recycle Yourself" is different, with an unexpected speaking line in the middle. It's a fun song, also with flute, vocals and guitar parts.​​​ And speaking of recycling, for the last song "God Was Green," I "recycled" my love for rock, I put an edge and overdrive on my electric and bass guitars, and had fun singing and playing a "go-green hippie" song.​ For this EP, I wanted to create a unique musical style that also expressed a love and hope for our beautiful planet.
